I'm a Senior in college, and known by my peers as the go to "intellectual authority for everything hip-hop". I post and review the best songs hip-hop has to offer, old and new. Most will be in the “underground” genre, considering that’s where the vast majority of hip-hop's true art resides these days. I update my tumblr daily with new music. Lana Del Rey - Pawn Shop Blues

Not hip-hop, but I love this song with a passion. Honestly, Lana Del Rey’s first album was kind of disappointing. I mean I liked it, but I know it could’ve have been much better. There is one song on it though that definitely stands out, which is this one. The first time I listened to Pawn Shop Blues I felt like tearing up. Her voice drips with such overwhelming emotion that your mind can’t help but drown in it. It’s simply one of the most beautiful songs I know.
