I'm a Senior in college, and known by my peers as the go to "intellectual authority for everything hip-hop". I post and review the best songs hip-hop has to offer, old and new. Most will be in the “underground” genre, considering that’s where the vast majority of hip-hop's true art resides these days. I update my tumblr daily with new music. QuestionDo you find that Shabazz Palaces album "Black Up" lives up to it's critical acclaim? I personally think it's great Anwser

I realllly like it a lot. A very unique sound, which goes a long way these days (WAY to many cookie cutter rappers out there). However, I do feel it was slightly overrated by some sites. It’s not the kind of album I can keep on replay indefinitely for days. Definitely best enjoyed in short bursts. I feel he has the potential to make an even better album, and I’m just waiting till that day comes.
