I’m in the process of writing a song by song album review for Schoolboy Q’s album Habits & Contradictions.  I’m curious though, what do you think of Schoolboy Q?

  1. fasmuslif answered: Q can be pretty vulgar at times but he can spit. TDE is a team people should look out for!
  2. theintro-vert answered: His flow is what sets him apart in my mind. When he finds a good beat he destroys it. Not the best lyricist but his creativity is ridiculous.
  3. pretens answered: He’s dope, his album was uneven…but hands on the wheel is an otherworldly banger.
  4. sincity212 answered: Dope
  5. whateverthen answered: Love Habits & Contradictions. Setbacks was okay, but Habits & Contradictions really went to highlight Q.
  6. mssnglnk answered: Love the album. I don’t know how mainstream he can be. But love the album.
  7. nwbro answered: not bad, not nearly as good as kendrick, but there were a few tracks that stood out. unforutantely the production seemed weak
  8. malibooyahhh answered: New album is dope af
  9. necroe64 answered: I’m really heavily into underground and old school hip-hop and i don’t like most “HIP-HOP” out now but, he’s talented as hell. Blessed is
  10. juleposart answered: Dope perspective… of course dope beats… i give it a solid 8.5
  11. 1sife answered: he’s aight
  12. classyem answered: HES THE SHIT
  13. afrodollhouse answered: HnC has been in constant rotation since it dropped. Very solid. Dying to see what kind of energy he brings during a live show.
  14. basnam answered: He’s dope. H&C = best TDE release. Him and Shady Blaze most underrated west coast rappers right now. Nightmere on Figg St. & There He Go >
  15. rebelstruth answered: I feel like he hasn’t reach his full potential. I want to see him carve his niche.
  16. realvisionz answered: Love his style, It’s rugged and refreshing.
  17. soffee answered: love schoolboy q t
  18. ill-minded answered: definitely dope. Setbacks and HnC were solid pieces of work with dope concepts. The songs play off the titles really well.
  19. purifiedthoughts91 answered: solid tape with great production, he should focus on carving out more of his own lane though.
  20. thekidmarkle answered: he’s dope
  21. catquake said: Seems good to me, waiting for him to make some really good stuff!
  22. womenweedandwhattowear answered: He was inconsistent when he first came through, but has definitely stepped his game up in the past year.
  23. hiphoptilidrop answered: I’m trying to like him,but so far,Kendrick Lamar is the only member of Black Hippy that I’ve listened to more than once. HnC was a good tho
  24. expecteddreamz answered: schoolboy q is an amazing artist and his group black hippy with kendrick lamar seems to fit him well
  25. hotassbeatclap answered: he’s alright. habits is one of the best albums of 2012 so far, but that’s only cause it’s february.
