I'm a Senior in college, and known by my peers as the go to "intellectual authority for everything hip-hop". I post and review the best songs hip-hop has to offer, old and new. Most will be in the “underground” genre, considering that’s where the vast majority of hip-hop's true art resides these days. I update my tumblr daily with new music. This is why they the Beastie Boys were ahead of their time. They had more influence on hip-hop than just about any other group. I actually have a greater appreciation for what they’ve done for hip-hop than their actual music. Regardless, they have a ton of old school songs that are simply outstanding. Such as this song from their famous 1986 debut album Licensed To Ill. It’s so damn raw.

Beastie Boys - Make Some Noise

When I first watched this music video when it came out I was pretty blown away. After watching it again almost exactly one year later all I can say is it’s still just as epic as ever. Easily one of my favorite music videos of all time. Danny McBride plays a good MCA. Before you watch this you should definitely watch the music video for Fight For Your Right…you’ll appreciate it more.

This is on magical sounding mix. Who would’ve ever guessed that the Beatles would be so appropriate to mash with Wu-Tang? Even though it would have been nice for the beat to change up more, it’s still is a very enjoyable variation of this classic Wu-Tang song.
